Aged six, Troy received his first camera - a 'box brownie' - and has been hooked on the magic of photography ever since. In 1989, he started a photographic degree, which he never completed. Rather, his education has taken place in the world where travelling has been, and remains, an endless inspiration for the eye. Over the past 15 years, Troy has developed the skills necessary for a successful professional career.
In 2006, Troy entered the professional world of photography. A year later, he submitted a portfolio of work to the prestigious Master Photographers Association in England. Initially, he was granted membership as a Licentiate. However, in a very rare re-assessment, Troy's membership was upgraded to Associate in the same year. This has afforded him the title 'Master Photographer'.
In 2007, Troy went on to win four major Awards at the annual British Professional Print Awards. This included the major prize of 'Overseas Professional Photographer of the Year 2007'.
Since then, Troy's portfolio has diversified in subject matter and approach; ranging from commercial and architectural photography, travel and fashion, weddings and portraits. No matter the lighting or environmental conditions, Troy always works with precision. His natural ability to capture 'the moment', to reveal the essence of the story behind the image, sets Troy apart from others in the industry.
